Our Philosophy

Whether you are managing your own brand on social media or having an agency help to grow online, you need to make sure there is an underlying philosophy that makes sense. Branding on social media is a long term play. It’s not a fly by night task and won’t necessarily pay dividends immediately. You need to constantly be honing your voice online, paying attention to what is resonating, trying new ways to communicate, and ultimately connecting with your customers. We have a philosophy that is over arching and allows for flexibility in our content, but is also our northern star to make sure that the content we are creating is always being created with purpose and makes sense to drive brand forward.

Activity

We believe that constant activity is crucial to social media success. If you dabble here and there in social media, it won't work. The social media world is an extremely competitive and ever-changing landscape and your agriculture or construction business need to be actively in front of your audience.
There are all kinds of tips and advice on how much you should or shouldn't be posting and what ultimately gives you the most success. In the end, everybody's page and everybody's audience is different. We don't believe there is a right or wrong amount of activity, but you do need to breaking a minimum threshold. Ultimately, the consistency is where we believe the magic will happen. Again, it may not be instant, but over time the compounding effect will work in your favour.
In the beginning, we want our clients to commit to 3 posts per week per platform (X being the exception, this should be far more), plus daily stories. We believe that the daily stories are where the wins will really come from. Your customers who want to hear from you constantly will see all your content here. They will follow along to see what's been going on and it's where you can really grab attention.

Engagement Wins

Ultimately, engaging social media followers are the key to unlocking raving fans (this should be your ultimate goal). We believe these fans are crucial to success in social media so we strive for engagement over followers. In the end, if your audience is engaging with your content (liking, sharing, commenting, etc.), they will become fans of yours, spread the word about you and your company, and be loyal customers!
We are constantly thinking of different ways to create engaging content. Strictly posting just to be active isn't the answer, you need to be actively posting engaging content! There is no "one size fits all" method to this, but it does take some creativity, time commitment, and trial & error.

Peel Back The Curtains

Social media is a perfect place to show the world who you are. It allows you to connect to others like you and bring people into your world. In our experience, it is an excellent way to help build trust with strangers and deepen relationships with long standing customers. As salespeople, you know that one of the biggest hurdles in sales is building trust. Whether you are dealing with live animals or building someone's dream home, trust in that relationship is vital.

Inspire - Entertain - Educate

We can't take credit for coining this phrase, but Andy Frisella simplified it when he said that every post you make needs to either Inspire, Entertain, and Educate. Think about how you use social media - do you go on to see a bunch of ads? I feel like it's safe to assume not. People use social media as a way to connect, stay informed, and escape. So you need to create content for people that they want to see.
We’ve included some examples of posts that fit these molds from our clients below. Some are funny and entertaining, some are designed to inspire, and others are meant to educate. Ultimately, you need a mix of all of these, but hopefully these few examples will inspire you to start creating new content!

Show your people and their personalities!

Something as simple as each one of them wishing the audience Merry Christmas and then showing some Behind the Scenes footage made for a personable video that was much more engaging than a simple photo with text on top.

Use Trending Content

Not all trends will show off your brand like you want, but a lot will. Utilize the trends in your favor and make them unique to you!

Use B-Roll to Create Emotionally Charged Reels

As an agricultural business, you are an integral part of your community. Lean on that and show your appreciation and pride.

Sprinkle in Professional Video

We are not ones that think every video you post needs to be polished, but sprinkling in some from time to time to show off what you do is a good idea!

Educate Your Audience

Use YOUR people to educate your audience. It personalizes your page for a stronger audience connection, builds trust, and it more entertaining than a stock manufacturer video
