Why Construction & Agriculture?

If you have ever heard us talk about our experience with our first social media agency, you'll understand why we believe it's important to work with someone who understands your customer base (if you haven't, check out our blog about "What We Learned about Social Running a Construction Business").
Brad grew up in a small, agricultural dominated community. The majority of his family farmed (both grain and livestock) and his family owned an independent agriculture retailer, selling the most things a farm would need (inputs, agronomy services, custom application, animal nutrition, etc.). When he was younger, he was involved in 4-H (until sports took over) and after college he went back to the family business for 2 years while we got our construction business up and running. His family is also still heavily invested in the cattle industry (dad and 3 uncles each still operate purebred, commercial and genetic operations) so he is still submersed in that world every time family get togethers happen.
In 2016, we started our construction business (Spruce Homes). We didn't have a construction background, but jumped in head first - it was like drinking through a firehose. We started flipping houses (very lipstick on a pig at the beginning), but quickly moved to major renovations as we learned. Within a few short years we started building new homes and organically transformed into a premier custom home builder, specializing in high end design build homes with a focus on delivering a superior client experience (something we'll always take with us). Throughout our 9 years in construction we completed over 65 new home builds/major renovations and our experience working with all trades has positioned ourselves perfect for helping others capitalize on the opportunity to grow their brand online.
Growing up and working in two different blue collar industries made us realize there is great potential in both industries for social media growth. Although they are vastly different industries, they actually have very similar types of people within them. Hard working, down to earth, and helpful. People in these industries are grass roots and real world humans.
Generally speaking, these hard working, down to earth people also avoid putting their face on social media. And this is where the potential lies. Everyone knows being active on social media is important, but most people just don't want to do it.
This is where we (just like you) want to be helpers. We leverage our upbringing and exposure to the agricultural world, our almost 10 year experience in home building, and social media experience to help you! If you are interested in discussing how we could help, we'd love to chat! Contact us and we will be in touch.
